Born premature, in the middle of Storm Iwan (the one after Doris..), Iwan weighed less than 5kg at one point and was given only a 20% chance of survival. However, the plucky little guy persevered and with the help of some fundraising and his generous followers we were able to arrange a make or break plasma transfusion which helped him turn the corner.

 

Following weeks of round the clock care and copious quantities of goat’s milk (courtesy of Goat Farm at Bryn Refail) we dared to believe he had survived. Now a young adult of two years, Iwan has been working on his walking skills as well as entertaining visitors at Meet & Greet sessions with his curiosity and approachability.
